Pay-Per-Call Model Coming Soon to ACME People Search

Posted on March 3, 2010 by Admin

Tissa Godavitarne just announced that he will be adding a pay-per-call model to the ACME People Search platform.  So what is pay-per-call? Pay-per-call (PPCall) is exactly what the name implies.  It’s a performance based advertising method where advertisers pay publishers for generated phone leads and/or sales.  As affiliate marketers we tend to think in terms of getting clicks to our websites and landing pages to generate leads and sales.  With the PPCall method the goal is to generate phone calls.

This is great news for everyone, but especially for new affiliate marketers who are struggling to learn how to market affiliate programs online.  Let’s face it, the vast majority of people who try their hand at affiliate marketing fail.  One common reason is most people just don’t have basic computer proficiency so when they start hearing about SEO, PPC, Squidoo, WordPress, HTML, CSS, squeeze pages, video marketing, Twitter, backlinks, anchor tags, autoresponders. . . their heads start to spin.  It’s like drinking from a fire hose to begin with; present this to someone who doesn’t possess basic computer skills and it’s no wonder most new affiliate marketers fail to make any money.

But who says affiliate marketers have to market online?  What about marketing in the boring offline world?  You know the unglamorous world of  classified ads, fliers, door hangers, community bulletin boards, car magnets, etc.  These advertising methods can be effective and they are very inexpensive.  And best of all, with PPCall you don’t even need a website.

So, how will this work?  Tissa hasn’t announced all the details yet, but his PPCall model will work something like this:  ACME People Search affiliates will receive their own toll free phone number to promote.  The phone number will either be unique to each affiliate or they will have a unique extension.  When ACME affiliates promote their phone numbers in the offline world (or online as well) the phone calls will be handled by a call center setup to operate 24/7 to answer any questions the caller may have.  One a certain requirement is met by the caller, the ACME affiliate who generated the lead will earn money.

How much will this cost?  As you can imagine running a call center around-the-clock can’t be cheap not to mention the technology to run this operation.  (Visit RingRevenue.com to learn more about the technology).  So Tissa has to start charging his affiliates more money, right?  Absolutely not!  Premium membership to ACME People Search will still be $1 a day.  Yep, that’s it!  The only requirement is you sign up for an annual subscription.  (Note:  You’ll also be given a spot in the T.V. ad co-op when you join for a  year).

Full details won’t be available for a few months, but this is definitely exciting news for all ACME affiliates.  Now everyone regardless of computer proficiency can start making money promoting affiliate programs.  Just head to down to your local print shop, print up a few hundred fliers, and  you’re in business.
